The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, met on Tuesday in Rabat with the President of the Colombian Congress and Senate, Efraín José Cepeda Sarabia.
In a statement to the press following their talks, Cepeda Sarabia underscored that the Colombian Parliament rejects the “shameful” position of his country’s government in recognizing the puppet entity.
He also denounced the latter’s proven links to international terrorism, particularly the collusion between the “polisario” separatist movement and Hezbollah.
Cepeda Sarabia highlighted the importance of cooperation with Morocco, recalling the Colombian Senate’s adoption of two motions aimed at strengthening “historical relations” with the Kingdom and withdrawing recognition of the so-called “SADR” by the Bogotá government.
In this regard, he reiterated the Colombian Parliament’s commitment to continue supporting the “friendship ties” between Colombia and Morocco.
