Morocco is establishing itself as an “ideal strategic hub” for disaster recovery for European companies, thanks to its geographic location, competitiveness, and cutting-edge digital infrastructure, wrote the Spanish magazine Parada Visual on Sunday.
The Kingdom represents a reliable alternative for Spanish and French companies to ensure business continuity in the face of risks related to cyberattacks, natural disasters, and geopolitical instability, the publication noted, highlighting the government’s Digital Morocco 2030 strategy, which has elevated the Kingdom to the position of Africa’s leading data center hub.
A true roadmap, this strategy—reflecting Morocco’s ambition to build a strong and sustainable digital ecosystem—has also helped to strengthen the Kingdom’s offering in hosting services and business continuity, the magazine observed.
In this analysis, Parada Visual also emphasized Morocco’s competitive advantage in terms of cost, enabling European companies to implement disaster recovery plans at lower expense without compromising quality, thanks in particular to a pool of skilled professionals in information technology and cybersecurity.
The political stability the Kingdom enjoys, along with its legal framework aligned with international standards on data protection, further enhances the country’s attractiveness for hosting disaster recovery centers, the magazine added, affirming that, through its central role in the network of submarine cables linking Europe, Africa, and the Americas, Morocco stands as a true digital bridge between the continents.
