Morocco’s national under-17 football team has qualified for the quarterfinals of the FIFA U17 World Cup after defeating their Malian counterparts 3–2 in a Round of 16 match played on Tuesday at Pitch No. 7 of the Aspire Zone in Doha.
The Atlas Lion Cubs’ goals were scored by Ziad Baha (29th) and Ismail El Aoud (45+11th, 66th), while Raymond Bomba (45+6th, pen.) and Seydou Dembélé (90+6th) netted for Mali.
Morocco will face Brazil in the quarterfinals of the competition on Friday at the Aspire Zone in Doha.
