The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced on Monday that it will resort to legal procedures with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), as well as the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), in order to rule on the withdrawal of the Senegalese national team from the pitch during the final against the Moroccan national team.
This step also follows the events that accompanied that decision, notably after the referee awarded a penalty that was unanimously deemed correct by specialists, the FRMF said in a statement published on its official website.
“This situation had a significant impact on the normal course of the match and on the players’ performance,” the same source noted.
On this occasion, the FRMF extended its sincere thanks to the entire Moroccan public, which remained loyal to the national team through its massive presence and unconditional support throughout all the matches played by the national side, as well as the other fixtures.
