The Moroccan Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) has warned of heavy storms and powerful winds set to hit several regions this week.
Authorities raised an orange-level alert as certain areas prepare for intense weather conditions.
On Thursday, rainfall between 20 and 30 mm is expected in Tata, Inzegane-Ait Melloul, Chichaoua, Essaouira, Safi, Taroudant, and Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane.
The DGM noted that these storms could pose flooding risks and disrupt daily activities.
Strong wind gusts will also affect parts of the country. On Wednesday, Essaouira, Chichaoua, and Al Haouz will experience winds reaching 75 to 85 km/h, accompanied by dust and reduced visibility.
Conditions will worsen on Thursday, when Chichaoua, Al Haouz, Midelt, Azilal, and Ouarzazate may face gusts of 85 to 95 km/h.
Officials urge residents to secure property, avoid travel in exposed areas, and remain alert to updates from local authorities as the storms approach.
