A conference themed “Current Geopolitical Challenges and the Role of Interreligious Dialogue: The Example of Moroccan and Vatican Diplomacy, Interactions and Perspectives” will take place next Wednesday in Rome, at the initiative of the Embassy of Morocco to the Holy See and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.

Organized to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Morocco and the Holy See, this high-level meeting will feature prominent Moroccan and Vatican figures from various backgrounds, including religious, diplomatic, and academic fields.

The relations between the Kingdom and the Vatican are rooted in a millennia-old historical and spiritual heritage, transcending the narrow framework of political interests to embrace a shared worldview based on coexistence, peace, and human dignity.

Both parties are working to promote a vibrant spirituality and harmonious cooperation, making interreligious dialogue an essential driver of international peace and stability, according to the organizers.

Faced with contemporary geopolitical challenges, the two partners are working together to make this alliance a key player in promoting peace and development.

This cooperation is rooted in a values-based diplomacy, founded on dialogue, the promotion of exchanges, and a diplomatic approach attentive to the complexities of the international context.
