Speaker of Morocco’s House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami, who is representing His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the international One Health Summit in Lyon, took part on Tuesday in the welcome ceremony for participating delegations, chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron.
In addition to Talbi El Alami, the Moroccan delegation includes Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development Leila Benali; senior officials from said ministry and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection; and the Kingdom’s Consul General in Lyon Rajae Benchaji.
The One Health Summit brings together, for the first time, Heads of State and government from around the world, representatives of relevant international and regional organizations, parliamentarians, scientists, representatives of the private sector, civil society, local authorities, development banks, and youth organizations to accelerate the implementation of the One Health approach, which recognizes the interdependence between human, animal, and environmental health.
This Summit is held as part of the ninth edition of the One Planet Summit.
