Morocco’s flag carrier -Royal Air Maroc (RAM) organized a distinguished Iftar ceremony on Friday in Amsterdam on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, in honor of members of the Moroccan community living in the Netherlands.
This gathering, marked by an atmosphere of fraternity and sharing characteristic of this blessed month, was attended by the Moroccan Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mohamed El Basri, the Consuls General of Morocco in Amsterdam and Utrecht, and RAM executives.
The event also brought together several Moroccan and foreign professionals and experts active in various sectors in the Netherlands, in addition to representatives of African diplomatic missions accredited in The Hague.
Speaking on this occasion, RAM’s regional director for the Benelux region, Mohamed Issam Mosseddaq, said that Royal Air Maroc continues to make efforts to improve its services and provide its customers with an optimal travel experience.
Since the beginning of 2026, RAM has taken delivery of new aircraft with the objective of reaching a fleet of 70 planes by the end of the year, which will help expand its route network and improve the quality of services provided to travelers, he noted.
He added that all flights operated by the Moroccan airline to and from Amsterdam during the 2026 summer season will be operated 100% with RAM-owned aircraft, thus ensuring Moroccan and foreign passengers a comfortable travel experience.
For his part, the Consul General of the Kingdom in Amsterdam, Salim Lahjomri, praised this initiative organized annually by Royal Air Maroc, as well as the services offered by the national airline for the benefit of members of the Moroccan and African communities residing in the Netherlands.
The ceremony was an opportunity for several representatives of African missions accredited in the Netherlands to commend Morocco and the role it plays in strengthening African cooperation.
They also praised the efforts made by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to consolidate and strengthen partnership and solidarity ties between the countries of the continent.
