Morocco expressed, on Sunday at the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU), its support for an ambitious institutional transformation of the pan-African organization.
During its examination of the report on the institutional reform of the AU, the Moroccan delegation stressed that this reform would give leadership to the AU and strengthen Africa’s voice on the international stage.
In this respect, the Moroccan delegation reiterated the pressing need of restructuring the Union’s entities to improve the pan-African organization’s overall performance.
It also stressed that strengthening good administrative and financial governance within the institution should be at the heart of the aforementioned institutional reform effort.
