The total value of projects funded by the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency in 2025 reached eight million dollars, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, the Agency’s Managing Director, stated on Thursday in Rabat, emphasizing that the Kingdom of Morocco remains the Agency’s sole funder.
Speaking at a meeting dedicated to presenting the Agency’s 2025 activity report and its 2026 action plan, Cherkaoui specified that the budget for projects implemented in Al-Qods amounted to 6.5 million dollars, distributed between the sectors of social aid and human development.
He noted that these projects are carried out in a context marked by the humanitarian, social, and economic repercussions of the war in Gaza, as well as the difficult economic situation in Al-Qods due to a fragile security environment.
In this context, Cherkaoui stressed that the Agency has participated in the national mobilization campaign launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chair of the Al-Quds Committee, in support of aid to Gaza, through the allocation of a 1.5 million dollar budget for emergency operations in the Gaza Strip.
Regarding 2026, he indicated that the Agency aims to overcome the financing crisis, continue its administrative reform, and implement its digital strategy (2024–2027), with a view to optimizing resources, improving the efficiency of programs and projects, and continuing to provide support to the Palestinian population.
