At the initiative of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, part of the Al-Quds Committee chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, relief teams from the Ertiqaa Association for Community Development in Gaza distributed on Wednesday 500 food baskets to disadvantaged families in several regions of the Gaza Strip.
Carried out over several phases and financed by the Moroccan Association for Supporting Reconstruction in Palestine with the contribution of the Morocco-Palestine Solidarity Association, this operation benefited displaced families in Mawasi Khan Younès, in the central province, the camps in the center and in the city of Gaza.
This humanitarian intervention is part of Morocco’s steadfast and official support for the Palestinian cause. It aims to bolster food security for vulnerable families and alleviate their suffering in the face of difficult living conditions.
In coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Social Development in Ramallah, and with the support of the Moroccan Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency paid, last May, the first instalment of the budget for the prostheses project in favor of 23 Gazan child amputees.
The Agency has also contributed to strengthening the educational system in the Gaza Strip, by providing Cloud servers and an online learning platform to Al-Azhar University in Gaza, granting students at the King Hassan II Faculty of Agricultural Sciences enrolment scholarships for the new semester at the university, and welcoming eight of them to pursue their studies at the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute (IAV) in Rabat.
