A small square in the town of Biddou, northwest of Al-Quds, was turned into an open-air medical clinic where dozens of residents gathered from the early hours of the morning to benefit from medical examinations or consult doctors.
The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency continued, on Tuesday and Wednesday, its mobile medical campaigns targeting Bedouin communities and remote villages in the Al-Quds governorate, as part of its annual social assistance program on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan of the year 1447 AH.
On Wednesday, the medical campaign stopped in the locality of Biddou after providing services in Khan Al-Ahmar, Al-Jahalin, Al-Muntar, Beit Anan, Jaba’, As-Sawahira, Qatana, the Qalandia camp, Beit Hanina Al-Balad and Al-Qubeiba, in partnership with “Astra Lab” laboratories.
For Amal Hussein Abou Eid, a beneficiary from the locality of Biddou, this initiative represents an opportunity for many residents of the region, who face difficult economic conditions, to access healthcare services.
The campaign offered several medical services, including laboratory tests through a mobile laboratory, as well as consultations in internal medicine, pediatrics and ophthalmology.
On this occasion, the former president of the municipality of Biddu, Salem Abu Eid, stated that the organization of this medical campaign in the region reflects the humanitarian dimension of the initiatives carried out by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, particularly in remote areas and Bedouin communities around Al-Quds.
The Agency constantly seeks to support people in need and underprivileged families through humanitarian and medical initiatives that help ease their suffering, especially in light of the difficult economic and social conditions facing the region, he added.
For her part, the director of “Astra Lab” laboratories, Dalia Jaradat, noted that these mobile medical campaigns aim to reach communities with limited access to healthcare services, in order to help residents monitor their health conditions.
She stressed that during these campaigns, medical teams pay particular attention to the early detection of diseases among children, the monitoring of internal diseases among adults, as well as eye examinations.
Residents of villages and Bedouin communities around Al-Quds face daily challenges that go beyond the mere lack of medicines or medical equipment, including weak healthcare infrastructure, a shortage of medical personnel, and difficulty accessing hospitals and health centers.
The medical campaigns carried out by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency therefore help alleviate the suffering of residents and ensure a minimum level of healthcare capable of strengthening families’ ability to cope with challenges and the continuous pressures targeting their presence.
The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency, which operates under the Al-Quds Committee chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, had intensified its efforts in December 2025 by equipping twenty primary healthcare points in several villages of the Al-Quds governorate, including Wadi Abu Hindi, Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, Biddou Al-Khalil, Al-Muntar, Jaba’ and Mikhmas, in addition to providing schools with educational supplies and digital tools.
