The Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency released a special issue of the “Echoes from Al-Quds Committee” periodical, reflecting the achievements of the Al Quds Committee, chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, over 25 years in the service of the Holy City and the Palestinian question.

Published on the occasion of the Throne Day, this special issue looks back at the aspects and dimensions of the Kingdom of Morocco’s ongoing solidarity with the Palestinian people, in line with the values of law, justice and peace shared by all Moroccans and embodied in the initiatives of the Al-Quds Committee under the chairmanship of His Majesty the King, according to a practical and realistic approach combining political and diplomatic support, social aid and concrete action.

This 71-page issue deals with themes relating to the creation, development and means of action of the Al-Quds Committee, as well as its roles, achievements and prospects, in addition to testimonials from national and foreign personalities on the Al-Quds Committee, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Houssein Ibrahim Taha, the Head of the Diocese of Sebastia of the Greek Orthodox Church, Archbishop Atallah Hanna, the Minister of Al-Quds Affairs in the Palestinian Government, Achraf Aouar, and the Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), Salem Ben Mohammed El Malek.

In the issue’s editorial, the Director in Charge of the Management of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, writes that “Moroccans are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the enthronement of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him glory, at a time when our country is witnessing a confirmed leap forward. The Moroccan people are extremely humbled by this great development progress, not because it upgraded Morocco on the development scale but because it confirmed the civilizational standing of the honorable monarchy, a country of authentic institutions, strong by its history, glories and the diversity of its tributaries.”

In this editorial entitled “His Majesty King Mohammed VI: Symbol of Justice, coexistence and peace,” Cherkaoui states that, in line with the duties of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of Al-Quds Committee, in preserving the holy city, as a universal civilization center, dear to the heart of all the believers in the three celestial religions, the Sovereign has always been keen to propose ideas and initiatives to open the doors of dialogue, consolidate peace opportunities and reject violence.

He also highlights that based on this steadfast Royal commitment, Al-Quds issue remains present on top of His Majesty the King’s concerns “until our Palestinian brothers achieve their aspirations to a viable independent State, with legitimate institutions chosen by this people.”
