According to FIFA, “Tila embodies the sleek elegance of a caracal, a species of wild cat native to Morocco and several other countries. Her name is inspired by ‘tala’, which means mountain in several Amazigh languages, and evokes nature and quiet strength.”
Just like the animal she represents, “the friendly mascot is subtle yet powerful, agile and intuitive. She has an impressive leap, excellent vision and graceful movement — much like the rising stars who will shine on the pitch.”
The event will be the first FIFA women’s tournament ever hosted in North Africa, featuring 24 teams from around the world competing for the title.
FIFA says Tila captures both strength and elegance, reflecting the spirit of the young players taking part. She’ll be there to lift the mood at stadiums, especially at Rabat’s Olympic Stadium, which will host many of the big games.
