The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassem Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, hailed, during the 8th Morocco-GCC Joint Ministerial Meeting, the sustained and concrete efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, in defending the holy city and preserving its civilizational and legal character.
In an address during the videoconference meeting, the GCC Secretary General lauded the historic and central role of the Royal diplomacy, as well as the active on-ground presence of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee. Under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Agency continues to implement major humanitarian and social projects to support the resilience of Al-Quds inhabitants on their land in the face of current challenges.
Al-Budaiwi also praised the efforts of the Council’s countries, along with Morocco’s, to bring the war in the Gaza Strip to a close, restating support for all international efforts aimed at promoting a just and lasting peace that ensures the Palestinian people’s right to establish their independent state.
