The Minister Delegate in Charge of Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, highlighted on Thursday in Rabat the promising prospects of digital financing for civil society associations, particularly in terms of strengthening project management capacities and designing digital fundraising campaigns, thereby contributing to the improvement of the quality of their initiatives.
These prospects also include the ability for donors to track the progress of funded projects, faster access for associations to resources, and the reinforcement of trust in digital platforms through mechanisms ensuring transparency, Baitas said during a press briefing following the weekly government council meeting.
In this context, the minister detailed the three main alternatives, namely collaborative financing, based on mobilizing contributions from the public or support networks to back socially impactful projects, including the involvement of private-sector companies, which, within their corporate social responsibility, can support initiatives with high social impact.
Thirdly, associations can develop income-generating activities, allowing them to generate resources to fund their projects, he added.
