Hamza Igamane has thanked fans for their morale-boosting support as Morocco faced Cameroon yesterday evening in a match that tested the Atlas Lions’ limits as Moroccans hoped and pushed for a first semifinal qualification since the 2004 AFCON in Tunisia.

According to the website Elbotola, Ighamane said in his post-game comments that while the match was difficult, the team focused on adapting and managing the tempo.

He emphasized that progressing to the next stage was more important than the actual result.

Of the fans’ support, he said, “The fans were absolutely phenomenal and created a beautiful atmosphere, supporting us very well. I thank them for that, and we hope they continue to support us in the next round.”

Igamane, who made his return yesterday after being sidelined due to injury, added a successful energy to the squad. Despite challenges, the team focused on adapting to the flow of game and controlling the tempo.

During yesterday’s game, the national team maintained composure under pressure and achieved the primary objective of qualifying for the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.

The Atlas Lions impressive attacking display and solid defensive performance against Cameroon deserve special mention as they enter a more decisive phase in their march toward continental glory.
