Heatwave to Hit Several Moroccan Provinces from Tuesday to Friday

A heatwave is forecast from Tuesday to Friday in several Moroccan provinces, with temperatures ranging from 40 to 47°C, the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announced.

Temperatures oscillating between 44 to 47°C are expected from Tuesday to Friday in the provinces of Errachidia, Zagora, Taroudant, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Oued Eddahab and Aousserd, the DGM said in an orange weather alert.

From Tuesday to Thursday, temperatures ranging from 40 to 44°C will affect the provinces of Beni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Meknes, Khénifra, Fès, Moulay Yaacoub, Taounate, Taza, Ouezzane and Guelmim, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Benslimane, Khouribga, Settat, Chichaoua, Kelaa Sraghna, Essaouira, Marrakech, Rehamna, Khemisset, Sidi Bennour and Youssoufia.
