The enlightened Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI has transformed challenges into opportunities, establishing a renewed development model that reconciles economic performance with social justice, Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a joint plenary session of Parliament devoted to the government’s performance review, Akhannouch stressed that the Royal strategic Vision is grounded in a strong correlation between economic strength and social equity, placing citizens at the core of reforms to safeguard dignity and strengthen the Rule of Law.
He noted that this foresighted Vision has driven comprehensive progress, positioning Morocco among emerging countries and as a regional model of resilience and innovation, capable of leveraging global transformations for development, he added.
Akhannouch then said that Morocco has enshrined its status as a reliable and key international partner, particularly in the Euro-Mediterranean and African spheres, thanks notably to its leading role in combating terrorism and promoting regional stability.
He further highlighted that international trust in the Kingdom has translated into growing diplomatic support for its territorial integrity and the autonomy initiative, backed by major powers including the United States, France, the United Kingdom and Spain, in addition to several Arab and African countries.
The Head of Government also underscored that the adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2797 marks a decisive milestone, recognizing the autonomy initiative as a serious, credible and realistic basis for a political negotiation process between the parties involved.
He expressed pride in the development momentum of Southern provinces, driven by major projects launched since 2015, which have turned the region into a hub for investment and growth.
Akhannouch also emphasized Morocco’s strengthened African anchoring, notably through the Royal Atlantic Initiative aimed at boosting regional cooperation and fostering economic integration, with the government supporting this effort through win-win partnerships and enhanced cooperation with Sahel countries.
