The remarkable and sustained progress of Moroccan football is based on the strategic vision promoted by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, said Charafeddine Dinar Belabbes, a Moroccan sports director working in Catalonia.
In a statement to MAP, Belabbes emphasized that the Sovereign’s foresighted leadership has enabled a modern and structured football ecosystem based on investment in human capital, training, and the development of high-level infrastructure.
This comprehensive approach, he explained, has profoundly reshaped the standards of national football and strengthened its competitiveness on the continental and international stage.
According to this expert, His Majesty the King’s emphasis on the training of players, coaches, and technical staff, combined with the establishment of state-of-the-art facilities, notably the Mohammed VI Football Academy, has created a coherent and sustainable model geared towards excellence and long-term performance.
This model, he noted, promotes the emergence of talents who are prepared technically and physically as well as mentally and personally
“This strategic vision is fully reflected in the consistent performance of the national team, which is the result of continuous and structured work, carried out from the youth categories to the elite,” he said.
Discussing the hosting success of the Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco, the sports official said that this achievement was also a direct extension of the Sovereign’s vision, noting that anticipated investments in sports infrastructure, transportation, accommodation, and technology ensured that the event was organized to the highest international standards.
He added that the special attention given to the players and participating teams helped make this AFCON a continental benchmark, illustrating Morocco’s ability to host major sporting events.
“Morocco is now reaping the rewards of an ambitious and enlightened Royal strategy, which is not limited to short-term successes, but rather lays solid foundations for the sustainable development of national football and continued progress in the future,” Belabbes concluded.
