His Majesty King Mohammed VI, through His personal influence and unique position on the international stage, alone can initiate real aid to the Palestinian people in distress during the current crisis, French political scientist Christophe Boutin said.
For this associate professor of law at the University of Caen-Normandy (northeast France), the uniqueness of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people lies in its issuance at an extremely difficult time in the region, at the instructions of a Sovereign with the special status of “Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee and promoter of a realistic and pragmatic diplomatic policy that turned the Kingdom into a recognized player” by all states worldwide.
“Without closing any doors, Morocco is thus succeeding in providing real aid, tangible but also diplomatic, far from the sweeping statements of some,” Boutin emphasized to MAP.
He added that “what the Palestinian people need today is, first and foremost, a material aid required for their survival, and not media stunts by foreign actors who are only concerned with their image.”
The French political scientist pointed out that this is not the first humanitarian aid convoy dispatched by Morocco since the beginning of the crisis, stating that His Majesty the King, “as the promoter of his country’s realistic diplomatic policy, has never forgotten the suffering people of Palestine. Through His personal influence, the Sovereign is able to initiate actions to assist them in the distress of the current crisis.”
