The Kénitra-Marrakech High-Speed Line is a “flagship” project not only for the Kingdom but also for the African continent, Madagascar’s Minister of Transport Valery Ramonjavelo stated, hailing HM King Mohammed VI’s “remarkable” Vision in this field.
Ramonjavelo, who was a guest on Medi1-TV’s midday news program, stressed that Morocco, a gateway between Africa and Europe, is a pioneer in the field of High Speed Rail on the Continent.
This major project will ensure connectivity between several Moroccan conurbations and regions, further promoting their development, strengthening the logistics chain and creating new jobs, all of which will help promote the Kingdom’s economic leadership, thanks to this Vision led by the Sovereign,” he continued.
The launch of this new high-speed rail also offers several opportunities and prospects on a continental scale, Ramonjavelo added, expressing the wish to see South-South cooperation relations further bolstered, enabling African countries to benefit from this feat.
This new high-speed line communicates strong messages to the whole continent, with a view to promoting modern, sustainable mobility for a more prosperous Africa, he concluded.
