A large delegation from the three southern provinces of the Kingdom, Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, Guelmim-Oued Noun and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, held a meeting with the Movement of Enterprises of France (MEDEF) in Paris on Tuesday, dedicated to promoting investment.

This meeting, organized on the initiative of the Moroccan embassy in Paris and MEDEF, aims to promote business opportunities in the southern provinces of the Kingdom with a view to implementing the planned French investment projects, which are in line with the implementation of the agreements signed within the framework of the Reinforced Exceptional Partnership between Morocco and France.

These projects cover a range of strategic sectors such as logistics, renewable energy, tourism, industry, fishing and infrastructure designed to support the rise of the regional development model in the southern provinces of the Kingdom.

This meeting, which is part of the positive momentum in Moroccan-French cooperation, reflects France’s support for Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara in economic terms and marks a new stage in the transformation of the southern provinces into a regional investment hub and a center for sustainable growth serving the African continent.

The Moroccan delegation led by Laila Hammouchi, Governor Director of Local Public Services, reporting to the Directorate General of Local Authorities at the ministry of the Interior, in the presence of His Majesty the King’s ambassador to France, Samira Sitail, includes the president of the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, M’barka Bouaida, who also chairs the Association of Regions of Morocco, the president of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, Yanja El Khattat, and the representative of the president of the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region, Mhamed Abba.

The delegation also includes the directors general of the Regional Investment Centers of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, Ahmed Khatir, Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, Mohamed Jifer, and Guelmim-Oued Noun, Mohamed Assouss.
