A significant parliamentary delegation, led by Rachid Talbi Alami, Speaker of the House of Representatives, is currently undertaking a working visit to Nouakchott from February 09-10. This visit comes at the invitation of Mohamed Bamba Meguett, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
The primary objective of this visit is to enhance cooperation between the two legislative bodies, bolster coordination, and facilitate the exchange of parliamentary expertise. Additionally, the delegation aims to engage in discussions on matters of mutual interest, as outlined in a press release issued by the Lower House.
During the visit, the delegation will participate in meetings focused on parliamentary affairs at both bilateral and multilateral levels. These discussions will include sessions with the Speaker of the Mauritanian National Assembly, as well as meetings with the Prime Minister and other government officials of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
