The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has categorically denied malicious rumors that undermine citizens’ sense of security. These rumors report, in an alarmist and distorted manner, cases of systematic child abduction linked to so-called organ trafficking.

In a clarification regarding this false information, the DGSN states that its services have not recorded any cases of child abduction linked to organ trafficking. It notes that the “E-blagh” and “Tifli Moukhtafi” platforms, developed by National Security services to report crimes and declare missing children, have received no alerts regarding incidents similar to those described in the circulated rumors.

Digital monitoring has detected the circulation and sharing of old recordings documenting cases of missing minors where there was no evidence of criminal activity; these were intentionally presented as kidnapping cases, the same source reported.

These malicious rumors have sowed panic among some citizens, who subsequently reported a few alleged attempted abductions, the DGSN continues. However, judicial investigations revealed that “these cases were not criminal in nature and had absolutely no link to any kidnapping or organ trafficking.”

Committed to denying and countering the rumors circulating on this subject, the DGSN affirms that the judicial police have opened investigations, under the supervision of competent public prosecutors, to identify the parties and individuals deliberately spreading false information with the aim of undermining the general public’s sense of security, the source concluded.
