Morocco’s Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni met on Thursday in Kuwait with Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Samir Mahmadov, on ways to expand cooperation opportunities in the areas of digital identity and digital transformation.
These talks, held on the sidelines of the 2nd International Forum on Digital Cooperation and the fifth General Assembly of the Organization for Digital Cooperation, provided an opportunity to examine ways of bolstering collaboration between the two countries, particularly in areas of digital infrastructure, digital skills development, and digital public services.
The two sides also reviewed progress made in the use of digital identity via mobile phones, facilitating access to e-government services and digital transactions, as well as prospects for the wider deployment of these solutions for the benefit of citizens and businesses.
On this occasion, the Azerbaijani side highlighted the country’s experience in digital identity, considered a strategic lever for the promotion of digital economy and modernization of public services.
The two officials also spoke of exchanging expertise and best practices in order to support digital transformation, stimulate innovation, and foster a climate ideal for investment and growth in the digital economy.
