Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation, and Burkinabe Abroad Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré praised on Tuesday in Rabat, the momentum of cooperation between Burkina Faso and Morocco, highlighting the importance of the Royal International Initiative aimed at promoting Sahel countries’ access to the Atlantic Ocean.
Speaking at a press briefing following his talks with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita, the Burkinabe foreign minister took this opportunity to praise the Royal Initiatives for the emergence of Africa, reiterating his country’s commitment to the operationalization of the Royal International Initiative to promote access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean.
In addition, Traoré expressed the determination of both countries to strengthen and diversify bilateral cooperation and to work toward enshrining their strategic partnership.
This meeting is taking place as part of the first Conference on African Victims of Terrorism, organized with the support of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT).
