Morocco is an essential pillar for strengthening economic cooperation between North Africa and West Africa, said on Thursday in Es-Semara the President of the Association of Nigerian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Otunba Wanle Akinboboye.
Thanks to its strategic geographical position and proximity to Europe, Morocco offers significant prospects in the fields of innovation and technology, enabling the establishment of robust economic partnerships with Nigerian companies and other actors in West Africa, in the interest of all parties, Akinboboye told MAP.
These partnerships can serve as a pioneering model of South–South cooperation and reinforce economic ties between African countries, thereby contributing to sustainable economic and social development, he noted on the sidelines of a working meeting dedicated to economic cooperation, held as part of activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Glorious Green March in Es-Semara.
According to him, joint action between North Africa and West Africa, particularly through Moroccan-Nigerian cooperation, is likely to strengthen economic integration and investment dynamics for the benefit of the entire continent.
The combined efforts of Morocco and Nigeria help stimulate economic growth and create vast investment opportunities in the region, he added.
Akinboboye also highlighted the Enlightened Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in favor of South-South cooperation, which encourages investors to engage in innovative projects fostering regional development, thus constituting a major lever for the emergence of an environment conducive to sustainable partnerships.
