A Moroccan delegation from the Fez-Meknes region held talks in Amman on Tuesday with Jordanian Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez, focusing on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in areas of social economy and tourism.
During these talks with the delegation led by President of the Fez-Meknes Regional Council Abdelouahed El Ansari, Al-Fayez praised the depth of the historic ties between the two brotherly countries, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein.
As part of this meeting, held on the sidelines of the Jordan-Morocco Exhibition for Traditional Industries and Crafts, attended by Moroccan ambassador to Jordan Fouad Akhrif, the President of the Jordanian Senate lauded the richness and diversity of the fair, calling for it to be held annually in order to reinforce communication between the two brotherly peoples and promote bilateral relations in the various economic, cultural, and tourism fields.
For his part, El Ansari welcomed the long-standing relations between Morocco and Jordan, as well as the their common views on many regional and international issues, in accordance with the High Guidelines of both countries’ leaders.
On Monday, the delegation from the Fez-Meknes Regional Council paid a working visit to the Jordanian municipalities of Madaba and Salt (located 33 and 35 km from Amman, respectively), were extended meetings with several officials from both cities took place.
The event, which kicked off last Saturday in Amman, offers visitors the opportunity to get a taste of authentic Moroccan and Jordanian cuisine and discover traditional Moroccan and Jordanian handicrafts and clothing.
