Minister of Transport and Logistics Abdessamad Kayouh held talks on Monday in Dubai with the Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, focusing on ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the civil aviation sector.
This meeting, held on the sidelines of the 19th Dubai Airshow, provided an opportunity to highlight the distinguished relations uniting the two brotherly countries in several fields, as well as to examine various issues related to air transport services.
On this occasion, Kayouh underlined that recent years have witnessed significant momentum in travel and air traffic between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, both for Hajj and Umrah flights and for connections serving citizens of the two countries.
In a statement to MAP, the Minister noted that these discussions reflect Morocco’s strong willingness to consolidate the foundations of its cooperation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all areas related to civil aviation.
Kayouh also pointed out that the meeting is also an occasion to reaffirm Morocco’s hosting of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Global Implementation Support Symposium (ICAO- GISS 2026), scheduled for April 2026 in Marrakech, noting that the Dubai Airshow offers a suitable platform to invite all global stakeholders in the civil aviation sector.
The activities of the 19th edition of the Dubai International Airshow opened on Monday in the presence of a large number of leaders, decision-makers, innovators and aviation industry professionals representing 150 countries, including Morocco.
The Kingdom is participating in this major global event of the aerospace industry with an important delegation led by Mr. Kayouh, as well as a pavilion of the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE), with the presence of several exhibitors from the sector.
