The Presidency of Morocco’s Public Prosecutor’s Office has officially launched a new digital application designed to strengthen communication between public prosecutors across courts in the country.
The Office said in a statement that the service will allow users to receive instant notifications about all actions taken regarding their complaints and grievances.
Citizens will be updated through text messages sent directly to the mobile phone numbers they provide when submitting a complaint, it detailed.
According to the statement, the new tool aims to help citizens follow the progress of their complaints with full transparency and within the shortest time possible.
It added that the new app forms part of the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s strategic plan, which places strong emphasis on improving access to information and reinforcing communication with the public.
The statement added that launching the app marks an important step in modernizing judicial administration and promoting the principles of transparency, efficiency, and proximity.
The initiative also seeks to strengthen public trust in the justice system and offer a better experience for people interacting with judicial institutions.
In recent years, Morocco has been working to digitalize several public services, especially within the justice sector.
Examples include online court services, remote hearings introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic, and platforms allowing citizens to access legal documents more easily.
The country held at least 133,000 remote court hearings during the lockdown.
The new application is expected to complement these efforts by making communication faster and more reliable.
