Morocco recorded 19.8 million tourist arrivals in 2025, an increase of 14% compared to 2024, according to the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
For the first time, the Kingdom approached the threshold of 20 million tourists, confirming a solid trajectory and marking a new milestone in the sector’s development, the ministry said in a press release.
This historic performance reflects the concrete results of the 2023-2026 Tourism Roadmap, which focuses on strengthening air connectivity, structuring accommodation capacities, diversifying the offer, improving the quality of services, and stimulating territorial investment, the same source explains.
At the same time, this momentum has been accompanied by record tourism revenues, which reached MAD 124 billion at the end of November 2025, an increase of 19% compared to 2024, confirming the role of tourism as a driver of economic growth at the regional level.
“The arrival of nearly 20 million tourists in 2025 reflects the profound transformation of Moroccan tourism, driven by the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. A more efficient, more sustainable form of tourism that creates value at the local level,” said Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy Fatim-Zahra Ammor, quoted in the press release.
This record year marks a strategic milestone, opening a new chapter in perfect line with the Kingdom’s vision of welcoming 26 million tourists and positioning Morocco as a leading destination by 2030, the press release concludes.
