Morocco is participating as a partner country in the first Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, inaugurated on Monday in Jaipur by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Kingdom is represented at this international event by His Majesty the King’s ambassador to New Delhi, Mohamed Maliki, and Amina Touzani, head of the planning department at the Moroccan Agency for Tourism Development (SMIT).

Maliki told MAP that Morocco’s participation in this event reflects its commitment to strengthening its economic relations with India and exploring new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

The Moroccan presence, requested by the organizers, is a sign of the growing interest in the Moroccan development model and illustrates the Kingdom’s international recognition as a bridge between continents and a key player in South-South cooperation, the ambassador added.

In addition to taking part in the opening ceremony, the Moroccan delegation held a series of meetings with several senior officials of the State of Rajasthan, as well as with Indian investors and economic players.

These meetings provided an opportunity to explore concrete avenues of cooperation, and to highlight Morocco’s potential as a strategic partner in various fields.

To further raise its profile among investors at the summit, Morocco has set up a stand to showcase the Kingdom’s economic assets.

The stand highlights the many investment opportunities offered by Morocco, particularly in strategic sectors such as renewable energies, tourism and the automotive industry.

The three-day summit, which aims to position Rajasthan as one of India’s leading investment destinations, brings together over 5,000 participants from 32 countries, including business leaders, investors and economic decision-makers.

It offers a strategic platform to foster exchange, explore investment opportunities, establish partnerships and discuss issues related to economic development.

The program includes 12 sessions focusing on a variety of topics, including women entrepreneurship, sustainable energy, water management, startups and innovations in the agri-food industry.
