Morocco Takes Part in Russia-Africa Partnership Forum in Cairo

The proceedings of the second ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum opened on Saturday in Cairo, with Morocco participating.

The Kingdom is represented at this two-day conference by a delegation composed of the ambassador, director general of International Political Affairs at the ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Fouad Yazourh, the director of African Affairs at the ministry, Abdellah Boutadghart, and the Morocco’s ambassador to Egypt, Mohamed Ait Ouali, as well as the deputy head of the Kingdom’s embassy in Cairo, Ismail Ouassak.

This Russia-Africa Partnership Forum, known for the presence of representatives from many African countries as well as several heads of regional organizations, builds on the momentum generated during the first conference held in the Russian city of Sochi in November 2024.

The agenda covers issues of economic, trade, and investment cooperation, support for stability, peace, and security, and the achievement of development.

The conference will also address ways to develop joint cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, energy and infrastructure, as well as issues of common interest related to the security and stability of the African continent, in order to support peace and development efforts and promote a sustainable Russian-African partnership.
