Morocco is taking part in the first United Nations Troop Contributing Countries’ (UNTCC) Chiefs’ Conclave, an international gathering of more than 30 nations engaged in peacekeeping operations, which kicked off on Tuesday in New Delhi.
The Kingdom, represented by a delegation from the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) led by Brigadier General Abdelkrim Nejjar, reaffirms through this participation its continuous commitment in UN peace and security initiatives, as well as its attachment to promoting efficient and solidary multilateralism.
Inaugurated by Indian Defense minister, Rajnath Singh, this conclave, themed “The world is one family,” provides a high-level platform to exchange best practices, bolster cooperation and develop mutual understanding on contemporary peacekeeping challenges.
Organized by the Indian Army, this conclave aims to promote collective preparation and strengthen partnerships in order to meet the operational and strategic challenges faced by UN missions on the field.
The three-day program includes plenary sessions dedicated to the efficiency of peacekeeping operations, the strengthening of lasting peace in complex environments and the role of new technologies in improving the reactivity of missions.
