Morocco’s Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami and members of a delegation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French National Assembly examined Thursday in Rabat the dynamics of bilateral relations between Morocco and France.
These talks provided an opportunity to commend the strength of the historical ties between Morocco and France, according to a press release from the House of Representatives.
The discussions also focused on major structural projects and the initiatives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in favor of the African continent and its development.
The meeting was an ideal occasion to highlight the excellence of Moroccan–French parliamentary relations, the press release added, noting the upcoming organization, in the Kingdom of Morocco, of the 5th Parliamentary Forum.
This Forum serves as a platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas, experiences, and parliamentary expertise on best practices in addressing key issues on the shared agenda, such as climate change, water and food security, renewable energy, the fight against violence, extremism, and hate, as well as cooperation in scientific, cultural, and academic fields, according to the same source.
The French delegation is undertaking a working visit to the Kingdom in order to review the major projects launched by Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and to strengthen both bilateral and multilateral parliamentary relations.
