The session, chaired by Shamlan Humoud Al-Gehadely, General Director of the Public Authority for Industry (PAI) of Kuwait, includes the participation -both in-person and online- of delegations from twelve Arab countries, including Morocco, along with a representative from the General Secretariat of the Arab League, according to a statement from AIDSMO.

In his opening remarks, AIDSMO Director General Adel Al-Saqer stated that the agenda covers major topics related to the organization’s recent work and achievements, aimed at strengthening the Arab industrial and mining sectors and translating programs into tangible, high-impact results.

Al-Saqer emphasized that AIDSMO, attentive to technological advancements and digital transformation, gives particular priority to artificial intelligence, integrating it into its objectives due to the vast opportunities it provides to enhance Arab industrial performance.

He also mentioned that the organization has developed a roadmap for energy transition minerals in the Arab region, which will be presented at the 10th Consultative Meeting of Arab Ministers Responsible for Mineral Resources, scheduled for January in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Al-Gehadely noted that the executive council session examines a number of key issues, flagship initiatives, and activities outlined in AIDSMO’s action plan.

He highlighted the Arab industrial integration strategy, which aims to contribute to the development of industrial and mining sectors across Arab countries, strengthen the competitiveness of industrial products, and improve the quality of infrastructure systems.

The strategy also seeks to promote coordination, cooperation, and comprehensive partnership, as well as train and develop human resources, to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic development in the Arab region.
