The “Ramadan 1447” operation illustrates the constant High Care with which His Majesty King Mohammed VI surrounds the most vulnerable populations, notably the elderly, widows, and people with disabilities, stated Sanae Dardikh, Director of Communications at the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
This Royal Initiative has been a key event for national solidarity for the past 28 years, emphasized Dardikh in a statement to the press on the occasion of the launch of the national “Ramadan 1447” operation by His Majesty the King.
This year’s edition is distinguished by a comprehensive targeting based entirely on the Unified Social Registry, in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior, thus ensuring precise identification and updating of beneficiary households from the 1304 municipalities involved in the operation at the national level, she added.
The operation has mobilized a large-scale system with the involvement of several stakeholders and partners, including the Ministries of the Interior and Endowments and Islamic Affairs, which also participate in the funding, she continued.
For her part, Souad Boulouiz, Director of Projects at the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, clarified that the use of socio-economic data from the Unified Social Registry, for the second consecutive year, allowed the provision of a detailed and accurate database on the beneficiary households.
In this regard, she highlighted that 74% of the beneficiaries of this solidarity operation reside in rural areas, while more than 731,000 people are elderly, people with disabilities, or widows who bear the responsibility of providing for their families, she stressed.
To ensure the smooth running of this operation, more than 4,800 staff and agents from the Foundation’s partners have been mobilized, noted Boulouiz.
For their part, several beneficiaries expressed their deep gratitude to His Majesty the King for the High Care with which the Sovereign continually surrounds those in social precariousness.
They emphasized, in statements to the press, that this solidarity operation reflects the values of mutual assistance and sharing, which characterize Moroccan society during this blessed month.
