The Moroccan U-20 World Cup champions, who won the title a few days ago in Chile, were received on Wednesday, October 22, at the Royal Palace in Rabat by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, during a ceremony organized upon Royal Instructions in honor of the cubs.

This reception illustrates the High Benevolence with which His Majesty the King, may God assist Him, has continually shown youth and supported their development through sport and the special interest the Sovereign places in this sector in particular and in football in general.

With this world title, the first at the Arab level and the second in Africa, Moroccan football has made history. This achievement is by no means the result of chance, but rather the result of hard work and an enlightened Royal Vision, demonstrating a King in tune with his youth and his entire people.

Indeed, as with the sports sector, whose reform was launched several years ago under Royal leadership, the Monarchical Institution has always been the driving force that paves the way for structural projects and long-term strategies, in favor of a modern, developed, and distinguished Morocco.

The coronation of the lion cubs is all the more significant given that the Kingdom has always well represented Africa and the Arab world at all levels, and that it continues to position itself today, as usual, as an ambassador of excellence for an entire continent and Arab countries, which, in turn, did not fail to share the joy and festivities of 40 million Moroccans, who cried out with one voice: Dima Maghreb.

Ultimately, the consecration of the U-20 opens promising avenues and grandiose expectations for national football for future events, starting with the African Cup of Nations that the first national team, fourth in the world in Qatar, will play at home supported by an entire people headed by our August Sovereign, passing through the 2026 Football World Cup and arriving at 2030 World cup, of which the Kingdom is co-organizer, two major events where our U-20 champions will certainly have their say. The future of national football is in good hands.
