Royal Jordanian Airlines CEO Samer Majali announced on Sunday the suspension of the airline’s flights to Syria, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar. This decision follows the closure of their airspace due to developments in the war that erupted in the region yesterday.
Majali told the press that Royal Jordanian is suspending flights to any country that announces the closure of its airspace, as was the case with the aforementioned states.
Furthermore, the Jordanian official indicated that all other flights are continuing this Sunday to Europe, the Americas, Egypt, North Africa, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon as scheduled, with slight delays subject to prevailing conditions.
The airline had previously affirmed that the safety of its passengers and crew is an absolute priority, urging travelers to check the status of their flights via the airline’s website and to follow continuous updates.
