The speech delivered by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the 26th anniversary of His enthronement lays out a blueprint for a long-term, structured, and ambitious societal project, said Spanish political scientist Oliver Klein Bosquet.
This societal project continues the major reforms initiated since the Sovereign’s accession to the Throne and aims to build a “modern and prosperous” Morocco, he told MAP.
The Royal Speech reflects the coherence of the strategic objectives pursued by emerging Morocco for over two decades, namely a resolute commitment to economic development and a constant concern to strengthen social cohesion within Moroccan society, he added.
Under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, the Kingdom has successfully implemented an effective strategy that balances economic growth with a tangible improvement in citizens’ living conditions, the Spanish political scientist noted.
In this regard, he praised the sustained efforts to combat unemployment as well as the significant investments in education, social services, and healthcare, particularly in rural areas, to achieve territorial and inter-regional equity.
Klein Bosquet, also mayor of the Catalan city of Cambrils, highlighted the relevance of the Moroccan development model, which reinvests profits generated by strategic sectors such as automotive, aerospace, renewable energy, agribusiness, and tourism to continuously elevate human development standards.
The success of this model, which relies on a resolute Royal Will to strengthen the country’s democratic foundations, grants Morocco an increasingly prominent place on the international stage as a “stable and trustworthy partner,” he said.
