Low-cost carrier Ryanair has announced that its Summer 2025 schedule includes expanded offerings for Moroccan travelers, with 3.7 million seats.
The company said in a press release that the move is part of its commitment to providing affordable fares and increased travel options across Europe. The schedule is now available for booking on the airline’s official website, added the statement.
Elena Cabrera, Ryanair’s Head of Communications for Spain, expressed excitement about the new schedule. “Ryanair is pleased to announce the launch of our Summer 2025 schedule with 3.7 million seats available for Moroccan citizens/visitors to enjoy, as we continue to deliver more choice, reliability, and the lowest fares in Europe.”
Ryanair’s announcement coincides with a new partnership between the airline and the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT). Signed on Wednesday in Dakhla, the agreement will bring new direct flights connecting Morocco’s southern city of Dakhla to Europe.
Starting in January 2025, Ryanair will operate two new routes linking Dakhla to Madrid, Spain, and Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. Each route will offer two flights per week, effectively doubling Dakhla Airport’s capacity to nearly 47,000 seats annually.
The ONMT highlighted the significance of these routes, particularly the Madrid-Dakhla connection, which will be the first-ever direct flight linking the city to the Iberian Peninsula. This expansion is expected to boost Dakhla’s tourism industry by increasing accessibility for European travelers.
Earlier this year, Ryanair introduced several internal routes in Morocco at highly competitive prices. The company is strategically expanding its presence in Morocco as the country prepares to host major sporting events, including the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and the 2030 World Cup, which Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.
