The launch of the Safran Group’s project to build a landing gear production plant in Nouaceur marks a new milestone in the development of the national aerospace industry, said Minister Delegate for Investment, Convergence, and Public Policy Evaluation, Karim Zidane.
In a statement to the press at the project’s presentation and launch ceremony, presided over by His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the Royal Palace in Casablanca, Zidane emphasized that this new factory, which will reinforce Morocco’s pioneering position in this field, will create 500 jobs for highly skilled young Moroccans.
This project, he continued, will further reinforce Morocco’s reputation as an attractive destination for investment, as well as a country of excellence and cutting-edge industries, noting that this milestone “marks a successful start on the road to achieving the goal of manufacturing a 100% Made in Morocco aircraft.”
Zidane noted that Morocco is now establishing itself as a preferred destination for investment, thanks to its modern infrastructure and skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of cutting-edge industries.
This momentum is in line with the wise policies initiated by HM King Mohammed VI with the aim of making Morocco a hub for modern, high value-added industries of the future, he concluded.
