Snowfall is expected at altitudes above 1,400 meters, accompanied by heavy rains and occasional storms, from Friday through Sunday, according to Morocco’s weather authority.
Midelt, Ouarzazate, and Tinghir are forecast to receive 30–50 cm of snow on Friday, from midday until 6 a.m., the General Directorate of Meteorology said, issuing an “orange” weather alert.
The regions of Ifrane, Boulemane, Khenifra, Azilal, Al Haouz, and Taroudant are also expected to see snowfall of 10–30 cm during the same period.
Meanwhile, stormy rains of 20–30 mm are expected on Friday afternoon in Tiznit, Tan-Tan, Guelmim, Sidi Ifni, and Tarfaya.
