The “Marhaba 2025” operation to welcome Moroccan expatriates was launched on Tuesday at the Tanger Med Port.
In this regard, the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity has activated, in collaboration with all stakeholders at the Tanger Med Port, a comprehensive system designed to welcome Moroccan expatriates and support them throughout their journey, with the aim of facilitating administrative and customs procedures and providing medical and social assistance services.
In a statement to the press, Abdellah Omar Moussa, a project manager at the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, said that the 25th edition of the Marhaba operation, held under the effective presidency of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, was launched at the Tanger Med Port, as well as at all ports and airports in the Kingdom, and at crossing points in Spain, France, and Italy.
He noted that this unique humanitarian operation, overseen by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, has now reached its 25th year, emphasizing that it is characterized by national mobilization and the implementation of measures aimed at facilitating the transit of Moroccan expatriates, and supporting them — embodying the High Concern that His Majesty King Mohammed VI shows for members of this community.
This year’s edition is marked by the establishment of new national reception sites at the airports of Laâyoune and Dakhla, bringing the total number of Marhaba reception sites to 26, he added.
Several Moroccans residing abroad expressed, in statements to MAP, their appreciation for the services provided by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity and other stakeholders at Tanger Med Port, particularly in terms of facilitating border procedures and offering social support.
