The US Embassy in Morocco announced that visa services will be unavailable between February 5 and 7 pending the implementation of a new system on February 8.
This means that fee payment services and call center services will not be available during these three days, the embassy detailed in a statement.
The embassy shared the login page for the new system, noting that both new and old users need to register and create a profile on the portal. These include applicants who have already paid a visa fee or scheduled an appointment in the old system.
The statement added that it is important that they use the same email address they had in their old profile. This will allow them to recover their payment receipt and any future appointments.
If an applicant paid the visa fee before or on February 3, but did not associate the payment with their profile, they can claim it in the new system, the embassy added. They just need to log in and enter their payment receipt number and payment date.
“Ensure you have the payment receipt number and payment date readily available, as the call center will not be able to help you with this information,” the embassy said.
The statement further remarked that those having interview appointments between February 5 and 7 could face delays in passport delivery during these days.
The embassy added that applicants can continue to submit their interview waiver or 221g (referring to incomplete applications or supporting documents) at the courier location.
In addition, passport pick ups from courier locations and deliveries at applicants’ chosen address will continue.
