Morocco is at the forefront of technology in the health sector, said the Director General of the Mohammed VI International University Hospital of Bouskoura under the Mohammed VI Foundation of Sciences and Health, Ahmed Bennana.
“We are moving into a more accelerated and efficient dimension thanks to the reform of the health system, launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI,” Mr. Bennana pointed out during an interview with MAP, on the sidelines of Gitex Africa in Marrakech.
The Foundation contributes “to this technological development through active participation in research in the health sector. Thanks to our engineers, our technicians and our researchers, we are developing a huge number of solutions,” Mr. Bennana underlined.
The Mohammed VI Foundation for Sciences and Health is developing useful solutions for patients in terms of care, he underlined, adding that regarding training and teaching, the Foundation has completely digitalized assessments and exams.
“Digitalization is crucial nowadays,” said Mr. Bennana, adding that the Foundation uses technologies, but also produces them, thanks in particular to its engineering schools and the Mohammed VI Center for Research and Innovation (CM6RI).
In this regard, Gitex Africa is an opportunity to meet technology operators, he said, recalling the signing of a partnership with Kaoun International FZE, a subsidiary of the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC).
This collaboration positions the Foundation as a key partner of GITEX’s World Future Health event, said Mr. Bennana, who highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to fostering exchanges in education, health and research on a global scale.
