The 17th edition of the MEDays International Forum, held from November 26 to 29 in Tangier under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, reaffirmed Morocco’s position as a power of balance, a pivot nation, and a strategic actor in international governance.

In a statement, the organizers emphasized that the Forum’s proceedings reflected the scope of HM King Mohammed VI’s multidimensional vision, whose proactive diplomacy, strategic consistency, and strong commitment to sovereignty and African integration have made Morocco an essential actor in international dialogue.

The 2025 edition, which welcomed 300 speakers and 8,500 participants from nearly 130 countries, clearly demonstrated that MEDays is not merely a space for debate, but “a strategic Forum where convergence, structuring, and affirmation of the positions of Morocco, Africa, and the Global South take place,” the organizers added, noting that the Kingdom’s influence is visible and recognized as a pillar of the evolving international balance.

Moreover, this edition took place in the context of the 50th anniversary of the Green March- a founding symbol of national unity and sovereignty- and only weeks after the historic adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2797, which decisively endorses the Moroccan Autonomy Initiative under sovereignty as the only credible, serious, and realistic solution to the artificial regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

In this regard, the many Heads of State, Prime Ministers, Foreign Ministers, and international officials present in Tangier welcomed this major development and reiterated their support for the Moroccanity of the Sahara, the statement noted.

Furthermore, the Royal Atlantic Initiative occupied a prominent place in the discussions, confirming the geostrategic significance of an integrated Atlantic African space based on the principles of connectivity, strategic autonomy, collective security, and co-development, the same source added.

The presence of an exceptional number of Heads of State (Comoros, Dominica, Gambia, and Liberia), Prime Ministers (Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, and Somalia), Foreign Ministers, ministers, leaders of international organizations, and institutional officials elevated MEDays 2025 to the rank of major global geopolitical conferences, the statement said.

In addition, the MEDays Investment Summit (MIS), the Forum’s economic pillar, brought together international investors, sovereign wealth funds, financial institutions, and industry leaders. According to the statement, discussions helped consolidate Morocco’s role in infrastructure, green hydrogen, clean energy, industrial transformation, food sovereignty, and digital transition.

The Forum was also marked this year by the participation of more than 3,500 Moroccan and African students, whose presence highlighted that MEDays is an open, inclusive, dynamic Forum deeply rooted in knowledge-sharing and civic engagement.

Innovation was also placed at the heart of the 2025 edition with the participation, for the first time, of forty Moroccan startups, the statement said, noting that their pitches, exhibitions, and B2B meetings showcased a new generation of entrepreneurs bringing innovative technological solutions serving digital sovereignty, industrial transformation, and national competitiveness.
