The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, received in Rabat on Wednesday the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie and Central Africans Abroad, Sylvie Baïpo-Temon, bearer of a written message to HM King Mohammed VI from the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touadéra.

In a press statement following the meeting, Baïpo-Temon, joined by Richard Filakota, the Central African Minister of Economy, Planning, and International Cooperation, celebrated the fraternal relations between Morocco and Central Africa. She emphasized that this visit was part of the drive to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors, particularly in the economic realm.

The Minister also took the opportunity to express her gratitude to Morocco for its support during her country’s challenging period. She further reiterated Bangui’s willingness to cooperate further with the Kingdom in the security field.

In this context, she praised the contribution of Moroccan peacekeepers operating in Central Africa. “Morocco has always stood by the Central African Republic in the various issues that concern us, with their many challenges”, she asserted, noting that as part of its national development plan, the Central African Republic intends to focus on economic development.

She added that “the Central African Republic has been able to count on partners and friendly countries, including the Kingdom of Morocco. Today, in this new trajectory, it wishes to share its vision with Morocco, which can benefit as usual from its support and backing as part of the Kingdom’s commitment to the prosperity of the African continent.”
