The holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 of the Hijri calendar will begin on Thursday, February 19, in Morocco, the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced.
In a statement, the Ministry said it had observed the crescent moon marking the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan on Wednesday, 29 Shaaban 1447 AH, corresponding to February 18, 2026, confirming that the lunar crescent sighting has been duly established.
Accordingly, the first day of Ramadan will fall on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
